RECENT PROJECTS

This residential renovation and landscape design project focuses on the family’s passion for outdoor living and gardening. Creating a variety of exterior experiences, the project features a welcoming entry with a low maintenance understory landscape, a private yard entrance adorned with ferns and wood slatted gate, and a multifunctional backyard.

Although small, the backyard design incorporates decks, shade structures, planting nooks, a dedicated cooking space and a linear bench interwoven around the garden. Whether enjoying an evening relaxing by the fire, cooking a wood-fired pizza, or gathering for a family dinner, the garden is always within view. A calming, meditative space, the garden is a primary pastime for the family and as such, is central in the space and to the design.

The renovation to the home included new siding, windows and roofing membranes that function to increase the envelope’s performance while creating a warm inviting entrance and simple white backdrop to the landscaping design.
